#5 Elias

Not the most wonderful sight for any Superstar
Not the most wonderful sight for any Superstar

Elias hasn't had the most tremendous of runs in WWE ever since he moved up from NXT. He has been a regular fixture in the lower mid-card of both RAW and SmackDown, winning the 24/7 Championship four times in the process.

The Drifter hasn't really gotten a serious push in WWE but that seemed to have changed when he turned face and started a feud with King Corbin on SmackDown. Elias even secured a win over The King at WrestleMania 36 and although it was just a roll-up pin, a victory at the Showcase of Immortals is no small feat.

Naturally, many members of the WWE Universe felt that it was Elias' time to shine but he was eventually laid out and written off TV following a backstage attack by who else but King Corbin. Elias then made a surprise return at Money in the Bank to get his revenge and even beat King Corbin in the first round of the Intercontinental Championship tournament.

However, he will be taking another hiatus from WWE programming after becoming the victim of a driving accident involving Jeff Hardy. We don't know what's next for The Drifter but he certainly hasn't reached anywhere close to the highs that were expected of him following his win at 'Mania.
