#3. Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston had the greatest year of his WWE career in 2019 when he finally reached the top at WrestleMania 35, beating Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Championship. He had a great run as Champion as well, holding the title for six months and getting past Superstars such as Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and Randy Orton before Brock Lesnar appeared and challenged him for the WWE title.
It was on the SmackDown on FOX premiere, which meant that it would be Lesnar's first match on free TV in over 15 and a half years. While Kingston was expected to lose the title, it felt like it was an injustice for his great run to end in just 10 seconds.
While he's recovered and is successful in the Tag Team division again, there's no doubt that his WWE title loss leaves a sour taste in the mouth. If Kingston is to ever return to his singles run, a win over Brock Lesnar, even without a title on the line, would be the icing on the cake for his legendary career.
