This is the only case where it genuinely feels as though Braun Strowman is "owed" a victory over Brock Lesnar. The first time that they crossed paths was in the summer of 2017. It was a Fatal-4-way match that main evented SummerSlam that year, as Brock Lesnar defended the Universal title against Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, and Samoa Joe.

While Lesnar narrowly won, the star of the match was Braun Strowman, who manhandled The Beast Incarnate as nobody had before him. The fallout from SummerSlam saw Strowman emerge as the deserved contender, destroying Brock Lesnar to announce himself as the next Universal title challenger.

While Strowman should have won at No Mercy 2017, he lost clean to Lesnar. He would cross paths with Lesnar a few more times over the next year, with Lesnar always getting the better of him.

Strowman finally won the Universal Championship over four and a half years after his debut and he should cross paths with Lesnar again and beat him. It would do wonders for his legacy.
