#3. Braun Strowman

Sadly, Braun Strowman is the least-imaginable person on this list to take up the role of possibly retiring Goldberg. They had a brief confrontation in 2017 in a segment that also teased the possibility of Goldberg vs Roman Reigns.
Ultimately, it was used to get over two spears on Strowman. The story of The Monster Among Men has been a somewhat predictable trajectory - with him getting over, getting pushed, and then being utilized to get over other Superstars such as Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.
He's never been pushed to the level that many had hoped, with fans believing that 2017 or 2018 was the right time to pull the trigger on him. However, as we know with WWE, all it takes is a good hot streak of wins to rebuild momentum again.
With Strowman especially, there's still a chance that WWE could get him over at the same level he was if they truly tried. If they achieve that, he would be the most credible opponent on this list to beat Goldberg and retire him.
