WWE TLC 2017 has just concluded and it turned out to be a really good show. There were some downers along the way, but for the most part, WWE put out a really good pay per view considering the last-minute changes that needed to be implemented due to an outbreak of viral meningitis sidelining Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt.
So, let's get into all the matches and see how good of a pay per view it actually was. Without any further ado, here are our ratings for all the matches from WWE TLC 2017:
#1 Sasha Banks vs Alicia Fox (Singles match on the kickoff show)
Check out which wrestler EC3 finds cute RIGHT HERE
This was a below-average kickoff show match. Alicia Fox's terrible in-ring work meant that Sasha Banks could not put on a great match no matter how hard she tried. At least "The Boss" picked up the win.
Rating: 3/10
#2 Asuka vs Emma (Singles match)
The long-awaited main roster debut of Asuka ended with a victory for "The Empress of Tomorrow". While the match against Emma wasn't anything spectacular, it was a solid start to life on Monday Night Raw for the former NXT Women's Champion.
Here's to hoping for better things in the future.
Rating: 5/10
#3 Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann vs Gentleman Jack Gallagher and The Brian Kendrick (Tag team match)
This was actually a really good match from a technical standpoint and was easily one of the more pleasant surprises from WWE TLC 2017. All four men did a great job as the babyfaces picked up the victory.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like it will do any good for 205 Live.
Rating: 6.5/10
#4 Alexa Bliss (c) vs Mickie James (Singles match for the WWE Raw Women's Championship)
This WWE Raw Women's Championship match saw everything done the right way. It was a close-fought encounter between two gifted female wrestlers that ended with the right result. With the veteran Mickie James giving the young champion, Alexa Bliss, a real run for her money, this encounter ticked all the right boxes.
Rating: 7.5/10
#5 Kalisto (c) vs Enzo Amore (Singles match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship)
Oh, how I detest you, Enzo Amore. The man proved yet again that he can't wrestle but still walked away with the victory to regain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
If "The Certified G" and "Bonafide Stud" is the saviour of 205 Live, the show is already doomed. Maybe it's just time to cancel the whole damn thing.
Rating: 3/10
#6 Finn Balor vs AJ Styles (Singles match)
The match of the night saw Finn Balor defeat AJ Styles in a high-octane encounter that lived up to all the hype. It seems like Bray Wyatt being sidelined due to illness is the best thing that could have happened to Balor's career while Styles proves time after time that he is the best wrestler in the WWE.
It was superb from start to finish with "The Demon" picking up an impressive victory. If I have one minor gripe with it, it's that the match could have been slightly longer.
Rating: 9/10
#7 Elias vs Jason Jordan (Singles match)
A filler match saw Elias and Jason Jordan face off after a series of encounters outside the ring throughout the show.
It was nothing special and saw the babyface pick up the win after a questionable refereeing decision.
Rating: 4/10
#8 Kurt Angle, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins vs The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro, Braun Strowman, and Kane (3 on 5 Handicap TLC match)
Kurt Angle's return to in-ring activity proved to be a victorious one in the main event of WWE TLC 2017. It was a great match but could have been better with a few small changes.
There was literally no reason for Kane to attack Braun Strowman and for the rest of Team Miz to then side with "The Big Red Machine", and while it's going to be great to see a babyface "Monster Among Men," the lack of logic took away a bit of the shine from the match.
Overall, though, there can be few complaints about this match.
Rating: 8/10
