Undoubtedly among the greatest wrestlers of his generation, whether he goes by the name The Great Muta or Keiji Mutoh this performer is amazing. In fact, it boggles the mind that the WWE has yet to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame since he clearly deserves to be included among any list of the all-time greats.

Among a group of Japanese wrestlers that sometimes worked for the WCW during the Monday Night Wars, Muta joined the original nWo and the Japanese version of the faction as well. More than that, after nWo Japan’s original leader was injured, it was Muta that took his place as the head of the group.

Going on to found the Japanese promotion Wrestle-1, up until 2017 he served as the company’s president and then he took on the role of its representative director. Still active in the ring until recently, some believe he may have wrestled his last match earlier this year since afterward he had to undergo double knee surgery.
