Bobby Roode made his WWE debut in 2016 at NXT Takeover: Dallas. Roode won the NXT Championship in January, 2017 and went on to hold the title for 7 months before losing it to Drew McIntyre in August. Roode made his main roster debut on Smackdown Live in April 2017.

When Roode made his debut on Smackdown, it was clear that he was never going to be a top star like he was in NXT and Impact Wrestling. He would remain as a prominent part of the mid-card scene instead. Roode had a decent run on Smackdown Live. He even won the US Championship in 2018 and represented Team Smackdown at Survivor Series 2017. Bobby Roode was drafted to Raw after Wrestlemania 34.
Ever since coming to Raw, Roode has been pushed down the card. He hasn't been involved in any meaningful feud or match yet. A heel turn however, could do wonders for Roode as Roode works excellently as a heel. A World Title run, especially on Raw, seems impossible as of now.

Ali Siddiqui
Ali Siddiqui is a listicle and feature writer for Sportskeeda Wrestling since 2018. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he decided to write for Sportskeeda Wrestling after learning about it through a friend. He briefly worked for The Sportster as well.
Ali's love for pro wrestling dates back to when Randy Orton won a Battle Royal to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2004. His current favorite wrestler is Cody Rhodes because he's the ultimate throwback babyface. He believes Rhodes has the Surfer Sting's passion, Bret Hart's prop-gifting schtick, a catchy theme like Hogan's, and a kid-friendly demeanor akin to John Cena's.
When he is not doing research for his articles on Google or catching up with the latest in pro wrestling, Ali can be found honing his Data Science and AI skills as he strives to get back into tech in the near future.
