SCU is one of the most popular acts in AEW, especially when you see the reaction to them at Double or Nothing, and given the experience and popularity of the three men involved, them holding gold early makes complete sense. We've yet to see how the 'wins mean something' plays out in AEW, but they came out victorious over Strong Hearts at Double or Nothing, and that should put them straight in the hunt to become the first ever AEW Tag Team Champions.

All 3 men have potential as singles performers too (and they've eluded to that in interviews), but they're best when together, and their chemistry and charisma come through the screen quite well. Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels are both over 20 years into their careers, and while they look fantastic for their age, they can't be around for too much longer (5-10 years at the most), so getting them to the top early makes complete sense, and they'd be great candidates to go deep in this tournament.
