8-time champion to return after 553 days at WWE SummerSlam; attack Bayley after her match? Exploring potential twist

Bayley is set to have a huge match at WWE SummerSlam. The big Premium Live Event will be airing live from the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio this Saturday and The Role Model will be defending her title.

The WWE Women's Championship will be on the line when Bayley takes on the intimidating and powerful Nia Jax. Jax earned the match by winning the 2024 Queen of the Ring Tournament. While Nia will no doubt be quite the threat, Bayley should win the bout. Unfortunately for The Role Model, this could be where Alexa Bliss shakes things up.

The eight-time champion could return to the Sports Entertainment juggernaut after 553 days and attack Bayley following her match. This could be done to firmly establish Bliss as The Role Model's next challenger.

The last time Alexa Bliss was seen in a WWE ring was at the 2023 Royal Rumble. Over a year and a half later, she could make her comeback by moving to the Friday Night SmackDown brand and pursuing championship glory there.

Some believe that Bliss is best suited as a heel. If that is the case, attacking the ever-popular Bayley would be a perfect way to reintroduce her under this alignment. Plus, Bliss is a long-time friend of Nia's, so this would only add to the drama.

Alexa Bliss could instead be returning as part of The Wyatt Sicks on WWE RAW

There is a chance that instead of targeting the former Damage CTRL leader, Bliss may instead focus on the current members of the dangerous faction. This comes after Damage CTRL made their return on WWE RAW.

Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, and Kairi Sane returned and are potentially babyfaces now. They targeted and attacked Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler after the dangerous three laid them out several weeks ago.

Interestingly, though, The Wyatt Sicks made their presence known in a Damage CTRL segment later. While the three were being interviewed backstage, the stable's creepy logo could be seen behind them. This could be how Alexa Bliss returns.

As talented and creepy as Nikki Cross can be, she won't be able to fight Damage CTRL on her own. Her former partner and fellow WWE Women's Tag Team Champion could be by her side, however, and the two could embrace their creepy personas to intimidate the RAW stable.

Whether Alexa targets Bayley or The Role Model's former associates, it is certainly possible that she could target Damage CTRL in some fashion upon her return. Will it happen this Saturday? For now, only time will tell.
