Edge's status at the 1000th episode of SmackDown is up in the air as WWE has removed all references of it in the website.

If WWE is planning to cancel the show, they could have come up with a formal statement. But, as that is not the case, we wonder if it has been done to work the smarks.

PWInsider asserts us that WWE isn't backing the Rated R Superstar out and, the Edge will indeed be present for the aforementioned episode.

SmackDown Live was Edge's home for multiple years. It would be unfair not only to the fans but also to the former multi-time World Champion if he is shelved at the last moment.

We don't have to wait long to see if this rumor comes true as SmackDown 1000 takes place this Tuesday.
