WWE is experiencing a great period, with several superstars stepping up and having great storylines. At the same time, some wrestlers have joined the Stamford-based company and are ready for their debut on NXT.
Meanwhile, a few stars have been out with injuries, and it is unknown when they will make a comeback. In this article, we take a look at nine of them:
#9. Shotzi
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Shotzi has been out of action since mid-February, when she suffered an ACL injury. She got injured during a match against Lyra Valkyria on the February 13 episode of NXT and was ruled out of her qualifying match against Tiffany Stratton on SmackDown ahead of the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.
She is expected to be out for nine months and make a full recovery, thus a return should take place in November.
#8. Erik
One-half of The Viking Raiders, Erik, has been sidelined since September 2023, when he had his C6 and C7 neck fusion surgery. The injury was serious, and there is no timetable for his return. His last match took place on the September 15 episode of SmackDown against The Alpha Academy.
According to his tag team partner, Ivar, Erik has progressed well with his recovery, but he needs to be cautious with his comeback. He could return to action soon, though.
#7. Ivar
Ivar is also out of action, dealing with a serious injury. The star was attacked by Gallus on an episode of NXT. The 40-year-old wrestler confirmed the news back in mid-May when he made his last WWE appearance. He provided no timetable on how serious the injury was or how much time he would miss.
By the time of the injury, he was competing for the Speed Championship and the NXT North American Championship.
#6. Tyler Bate
One-half of the New Catch Republic, Tyler Bate, has been out of action since early July with a torn pectoral muscle that required surgery. As he informed his followers on social media, the injury was quite serious, and it would take some time to recover.
There is no update on when he will return, but he is expected to miss the remainder of 2024.
#5. Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman is currently out with a knee injury he sustained during a match against the former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest on the July 15 episode of Monday Night RAW.
There is no update on when he will be back; however, the injury is not reportedly serious, and he should be back soon.
#4. Asuka
Former WWE Women's Champion Asuka has been out since mid-May with a serious knee injury that required surgery. She got injured en route to the 2024 Queen of the Ring Tournament and was pulled off the contest.
There is no word on when The Empress of Tomorrow will be back, but she is expected to miss a few more months before her return.
#3. Dakota Kai
The fourth member of Damage CTRL got injured last week following a backstage assault by Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark.
It appears that she has suffered a torn meniscus in her left knee and will undergo surgery that will keep her out for eight to ten weeks. Thus, a return should take place at some point in late October - early November.
#2. Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair has been out since December 2023, when she suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus during her match against Asuka. She had surgery and was set to make a full recovery, which would last for nine months up to a year.
She was in no rush to return to avoid re-aggravating the injury, so fans should expect her to return in the last part of 2024 (September onwards).
#1. WWE Superstar Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins has been out indefinitely after a brutal assault from Bronson Reed on RAW. He was hospitalized and now has to recover from a broken rib injury.
There is no update on a return timeline, but the promotion could keep him out long enough to fully recover before coming back to confront CM Punk.
