WrestleMania will be held over two days for the first time

As we mentioned previously, WrestleMania will be a 2-day extravaganza this year. As you can understand, this is because of the coronavirus pandemic. PWInsider went into further details regarding why WWE were forced to break WrestleMania over two days.

The first thing the PWInsider report stated was that 2 days was a way to get around the current restrictions imposed to curb the outbreak:

If they broadcast the entire Wrestlemania card over one day, they would run into a lot of production issues just in terms of the logistics of having and managing so many talents, producers, staff, etc. in one place at the same time under the current restrictions.

A number of state and local governments in the United States have imposed a lockdown in the United States with tight restrictions on how many people can gather together in one location.

WrestleMania 36 was therefore broken up into two days to deal with the ensuing logistical issues arising from this.
