#1 9th April 2019- SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles with Jeff Hardy
After Hardy and Wyatt lost the Raw tag team titles to the B Team, Matt revealed that he is taking some time off from the WWE because of his back fusing with his pelvis.
Rumors of Matt Hardy retiring from Professional Wrestling were on the rise, and even Matt Hardy posted some cryptic tweets hinting at retirement.
But Matt Hardy took advantage of his time off and lost 15 pounds getting into the best shape of his life. After nearly seven months away, Matt Hardy made his return to WWE on the February 26th, 2019 episode of SmackDown Live reuniting with his brother Jeff.
Hardy returned to his team extreme persona claiming that he has learned to control the “woken wonder” inside of him.
The Hardy Boyz competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in an unsuccessful attempt after being eliminated by Braun Strowman.
But Matt Hardy’s April luck did not fail him as he and his brother Jeff defeated the Uso’s for SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships on this week’s episode thereby giving Matt Hardy a hat-trick April title win.
