WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce may kick a superstar out of the roster for getting a scheduled match canceled. The star is Pete Dunne, who attacked R-Truth on Monday Night RAW even before their match started.

After attacking the 52-year-old WWE superstar from behind, Dunne unleashed kicks and punches on him. Security staff and referees had to come out to stop the Bruiserweight from injuring Truth.

Dunne was heard angrily chanting "I'm nobody's Butch," sending a message to R-Truth. His attack on the former United States Champion was mainly due to Truth's frequent swipes at him. Truth has often referred to Dunne as "Butch," which is Dunne's former ring name.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

The two had a match on the December 2 episode of RAW, but R-Truth cleverly defeated Dunne, leaving the Bruiserweight embittered. They had a face-off last week on RAW, too, when R-Truth again used the name "Butch" while Dunne was around.

Pete Dunne confronted R-Truth for using the name and for taunting him. He then challenged Truth to a match on WWE RAW even as a confused R-Truth just looked on. However, their match couldn't reach a conclusive end tonight, as it was over even before it began. The two could now continue their rivalry next week on RAW when the red brand makes its debut on Netflix.

Pete Dunne said that being renamed Butch nearly killed his WWE career

The 31-year-old superstar might have made his WWE main roster debut in 2022 under the ring name Butch, but today he hates the name to the core. Dunne wrestled under the ring name Butch as part of Sheamus' The Brawling Brutes but now despises The Celtic Warrior for giving him that name.

He fell out with Sheamus earlier this year and later revealed that he hated him for renaming him Butch. The two continued their feud, which led to three matches with Sheamus having the last laugh, winning two out of three bouts.

However, Dunne still gets mad when people refer to him as the Butch. In a RAW exclusive, he lambasted Sheamus for giving him that name, which almost killed his career.

"I’ve been in this business long enough to know you’re gonna win matches, you’re gonna lose matches, it’s part of the job. But for Sheamus, that scumbag, to turn around and still call me Butch, to have a laugh that something that nearly killed my career, this is all I’ve got, man. He knows that. All I’ve ever been and ever will be is a fighter. To be demoralized and reduced to that name, it shows what kind of person he really is. I don’t deserve it," he said. [H/T: Fightful Select]

It remains to be seen if Sheamus will come out to defend R-Truth against Pete Dunne next week on WWE RAW.
