#1 Cowboy saves the day
Hangman Adam Page is the good guy in this story.
The Young Bucks, throughout the entirety of AEW, have viewed Page as being the least important member of The Elite. Whilst themselves, Cody, and Kenny have been at the top of the world, Adam has been considered the 'little brother' of the group whilst also being made out to be the villain.

So what better way to shut everyone up than winning the biggest match in The Elite's AEW tenure, basically by himself? It's clear that The Elite, with potentially the exception of his tag team partner Kenny Omega, expects Page to let them down and be the weakest link.
So, instead of playing to that narrative and pushing the idea that Hangman is the bad guy in this situation, AEW Creative can have him win by earning the match. Page can go on to showcase his insane natural ability and ensure the spotlight is placed firmly upon him.
Even if you want to entertain the narrative of him being ungrateful after the match and ignoring the Bucks' congratulations and thank yous, that works perfectly too as Adam still doesn't feel welcome or accepted.
Regardless of what happens at AEW's Double or Nothing, it is clear that this match will be explosive with Hangman Adam Page being the spark.
