Since Lance Archer couldn't be on AEW Dynamite this week, Eddie Kingston was booked to face Jon Moxley in the main event. This replacement made sense because Kingston apparently wasn't eliminated from the Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out.

Archer went on to win that Battle Royale in the end.

Kingston and Moxley wrestled in a slugfest to close out the show this week. The AEW World Champion gels perfectly with other opponents who are straight-up brawlers in the ring. Kingston is that type of Superstar, even though he couldn't overcome Moxley's Bulldog choke towards the end.

After the match, Moxley was jumped by The Lucha Bros. Will Hobbs came to the AEW Champion's aid, but he was overwhelmed by a double superkick. Darby Allin arrived at last, but even he was laid out to by Taz's client, Ricky Starks.

Starks and Allin could definitely be involved in a long-term brawl with each other, whereas it doesn't look like Eddie Kingston is done with Jon Moxley yet.
