#4 Jack Swagger signs with AEW
Not long ago, Sports Illustrated revealed that Jack Swagger, who now goes by the name Jake Hager may soon be signing with the promotion. We all know Swagger from his run in WWE but he's kept busy since leaving, both as a Mixed Martial Arts fighter for Bellator and even in the pro wrestling circuit, becoming the Lucha Underground Champion. AEW's roster does not comprise of the biggest athletes per se (with the notable exception of Luchasaurus) and Hager's inclusion into the mix would be a big deal because he's already a global name.
Sportskeeda's own Gary Cassidy was part of a conference call only hours ago with Cody Rhodes, and one of the things that we revealed to us is that we haven't seen all of the players on the chessboard just yet. Hager's inclusion could cause quite the stir because while Lucha Underground is a major promotion, AEW is a different level of professional wrestling. It'll be a lot like Lex Luger signing with Nitro because the world will not expect such a major coup from AEW.
So let's keep our eyes peeled to see whether Hager is seated at ringside or not on the inaugural Dynamite episode!
