Cody (C) vs Orange Cassidy (for the TNT Championship) on AEW Dynamite
Cody and Orange Cassidy locked up in this highly anticipated AEW Dynamite match, but it was pretty much a stalemate at the start. Cody went to grab Cassidy from behind but he slipped out. Cody took control with a vertical suplex and followed it by whipping Orange Cassidy into the turnbuckle.
Cody started to dominate the match at this stage. He had Cassidy down in the middle of the ring and hit him with a bodyslam. Cody then headed to the top rope and missed with a double axehandle.

Orange Cassidy replied with his patented lazy kicks and Cody hit him with an uppercut. Cassidy wasn't happy and hit back with a superkick forcing Cody to retreat to ringside. The Dark Order tried to get involved but were ejected by the referee after Orange Cassidy stopped John Silver from using the TNT Championship belt as a weapon.
Back in the ring, Cody hit the Cody Cutter before following it up with a basement dropkick. We got a look at Cody's dark side as a frustrated Cody slammed Orange Cassidy's leg into the ringpost. Cody then hit Orange Cassidy with a reverse vertical suplex from the top rope.
Cody wanted to smash Orange Cassidy's leg into the ringpost again but this time, he ended up going face-first nto the ringpost. Despite this, Cody locked in the Figure-4 Leglock forcing Orange Cassidy to reach for the bottom rope. Orange Cassidy reversed an attempted Cross Rhodes and hit a DDT. Orange Casssidy followed it up with the Beach Break but it wasn't enough.
With time running out, Orange Cassidy rolled Cody up. However, time ran out before the three-count, ending the match in a draw.
The TNT Championship Match ended in a time limit draw on AEW Dynamite.

Matt Hardy was at ringside with Tony Schiavone. We learned that Matt had been cleared to wrestle again. We then got a brief promo video where Sammy Guevara said that it was his goal to put Matt Hardy on the shelf every time he was cleared to return. It looks like one of the company's best feuds will continue on AEW Dynamite.
