AEW Dynamite Results: Former WWE Star challenges Jon Moxley in massive title match, TNT Championship tournament continues

Jake Hager challenged Jon Moxley

The match started off in the ring and both men started out a little gingerly, feeling each other out slowly. No power moves early on, as the two men tried to outmaneuver each other. The fight soon spilled out to ringside and then into the seating area. Hager was on top for the most part until now but Moxley hit back with right hands before locking in a Figure-4 Leglock against a guardrail.

Moxley then went to hit a vertical suplex onto the concrete floor but Hager blocked it and tossed Mox into the barricade.

Both men made their way back to the ring. Hager planted Moxley and went for the Hager Bomb. Hager had to stop midway after Moxley rolled out of the way and the Champion hit back with a jumping knee strike.

Hager hit back with knee strikes to the midsection followed by a gutwrench powerbomb for a 2-count.

Back from the commercial break, we saw Jon Moxley take Hager down with a clothesline. Hager tried to hit back with an ankle lock but Mox broke free and hit Hager with a DDT.

Hager then brought a steel chair into the ring and set it up in the corner. Moxley charged at Hage who sidestepped, causing Mox to go headfirst through the chair. Hager then took the chair and went after Moxley's foot.

Hager then went for the ankle lock but Moxley fought out of it. He took the steel chair and smacked Hager with it before planting him with the Paradigm Shift onto the steel chair. Moxley then pinned Hager to retain his title.
