Kip Sabian charged at Cody as soon as the bell rang, catching him by surprise with a dropkick. Cody replied with a pump kick, forcing Sabian to roll out of the ring. Sabian then taunted Arn Anderson who was at ringside. Back in the ring, Cody forced Sabian to retreat again with a dropkick.

It looked like Cody had accidentally knocked Penelope Ford. This was a distraction and allowed Sabian to boot Cody across the face and take back control of the match. Sabian brieflly called over the ringside doctor to check on him but it was a ruse. Sabian took Cody out with a springboard dropkick.

Cody did not look happy and hit back with a powerslam. Penelope Ford tried to distract Cody again but he hit Sabian with a Disaster Kick.Things got a little heated at this point as Arn Anderson was ejected by the referee. Penelope Ford used this distraction to hit Cody with a hurricanrana at ringside and Sabian followed it up with a dive over the top rope.

Joey Janela came out to briefly distract Sabian, giving Cody an opening. Cody hit Sabian with a dive through the ropes before following it up with not one, but two Cross Rhodes' on Sabian to pin him.

Britt Baker calls out Jim Ross

Tony Schiavone was on the entrance ramp next along with Britt Baker. Baker insulted Tony again by calling him "Mr. Starbucks". Britt Baker then turned her attention to Jim Ross and calling him a sloppy barbecue sauce seller who couldn't get the wrestlers names right. Baker also told JR to stop taking shots at her division and her generation.

Baker then told Schiavone he might have gingivitis and told him to pick up a toothbrush once in a while.
