This was the first time we have seen Pentagon and Fenix face each other inside an AEW ring. The duo faced each other a number of times in their career. Eddie Kingston was on the commentary desk for this one.

Pentagon and Fenix threw nasty chops at each other, back to back, early on in the match. Fenix then came off the top rope bur Pena caught him with a superkick. Fenis wasn't down for long. He sent Penta crashing out to ringside before hitting a beautiful move from the top rope out to ringside. Back in the ring, Fenix went for another aerial maneuver but Pentagon grabbed the top rope forcing him to lose balance and crash to the mat as we headed to commercial.

The action spilled out to ringside. Penta went for a chop but Fenix ducked and he caught the ring-post. Penta quickly recovered and caught Fenix with a superkick to the jaw. Back in the ring, Penta caught Fenix with a pump kick and followed it up with a slingblade.

Fenix replied with a Spanish Fly from the top rope but it wasn't enough to put Pentagon away for the 3-count. Penta then hit Fenix with an incredible powerbomb. Just when it looked like Fenix was done, he hit Pentagon with a brilliant Canadian destroyer to pick up the win.
