Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine was in the AEW audience for this match.

Brodie Lee started off stronger, taking the upper hand almost immediately. John Silver was already busted open at ringside and the match had barely started. Cody hit back with a series of strikes, making the champion stagger. Cody tried to go to the top rope but Brodie Lee pulled the chain, forcing Cody to lose balance and crash to the mat. We saw Brodie Lee unabashedly use the chain as a weapon.

We saw Anna Jay come down to ringside to take John Silver to the back. Cody was busted open as we found out momentarily afterward. Brodie Lee headed out to ringside for some respite but Cody was having none of it. He caught the leader of The Dark Order with a suicide dive. Lee was still on top though, using the Dog Collar to his advantage.

Brodie Lee then set up the timekeeper's table at ringside. Cody used the Dog Collar to pull Brodie Lee towards him and hit him with a cutter as he headed to commercial.

Brodie Lee then hit Cody with a Packaged Piledriver through the table at ringside. Even Brodie Lee was busted open by now as Cody rolled him back inside the ring. Cody planted Brodie Lee in the middle of the ring before unloading on him with the chain. He wrapped the chain around his fist and tore into the leader of The Dark Order.

Brodie Lee hit back by pulling Cody toward him with the chain and hitting him with a Black Hole Slam for a nearfall. A frustrated Mr. Brodie Lee tossed a chair at Arn Anderson who wasn't pleased. Arn entered the ring but Alex Reynolds came out. Arn hit Reynolds with a Spinebuster before he was taken out by Brodie Lee.

Cody took advantage and wrapped the chain around Brodie Lee's neck trying to choke him out. He followed it up with a top rope moonsault for another nearfall. Cody followed it up with the Cross Rhodes but Brodie Lee kicked out at 1. He hit back with a couple of Superkicks and then a powerbomb onto the chain for another nearfall.

Brodie Lee followed it up with a superplex but couldn't capitalize. Cody replied with a Final Cut before wrapping the chain around Brodie Lee's head. Cody then hit the Cross Rhodes to pin Mr. Brode Lee to win the TNT Championship for the second time,
