Dustin Rhodes blindsided Mr. Brodie Lee to kick things off but the champion couldn't be kept down for long on AEW Dynamite. He soon wrested back control of the match and unloaded into Dustin at ringside.

Back in the ring, Dustin Rhodes rolled back the years and hit Brodie Lee with a hurricanrana followed by a Canadian Destroyer. Brodie Lee went for a powerbomb but Dustin countered it and followed it with the Cross Rhodes but only got a near-fall from it.

As Dustin Rhodes dominated, John Silver tried to get involved but he was swatted away. Brodie Lee went for the Discus Clothesline but Dustin blocked it and hit a piledriver. Rhodes got a 2 count off the ensuing pin attempt.

Dustin Rhodes threw everything he had at Brodie Lee with a big lariat but the champion kicked out again. Brodie Lee replied with a couple of thrust kicks followed by a discus clothesline to pin Dustin Rhodes for the win on AEW Dynamite.

The rest of the Dark Order came out after the match and they had Dustin's tag partner QT Marshall with them. Brodie Lee hit Dustin with a low blow for good measure.
