A notable storyline that came out as more information came out about Fyter Fest was that Chris Jericho refused to take part. He criticized management for giving the show away for free and also for causing an unsafe working environment.

It might have been because he's oversees competing in New Japan, or it could have been a way for him to show up and cause havoc anyways.

Jericho is being positioned as one of the top heels in the company so a plausible situation could be the icon showing up to either directly or indirectly help the Lucha Brothers pick up a win.

The jury is still out as to if the members of the Elite being Executive VPs in the company will factor into storylines.

Since they are known to have backstage influence, Jericho or another heel could interrupt the match and attack the Bucks or Omega in a way of fighting management.

Jericho has taken his heelery to another level in both NJPW and in AEW briefly, so even though he pulled out of the show, he could certainly show up.
