I did not really care for the AEW TNT Championship match at Fyter Fest 2020 and this stems from the fact that Jake Hager, who's supposed to be this world-beater did not know he had lost the match even though Cody Rhodes' music was playing. How are we supposed to take Jake Hager seriously as a threat to Cody Rhodes when his own actions did him no favors at Fyter Fest?
Female superstar says she inspired John Cena turning heel HERE
No, I wasn't the biggest fan of the finish at AEW Fyter Fest 2020 either, but I understand that it was done to keep the Jake Hager vs. Cody Rhodes feud going.
The question is, of course, whether it needs to keep going after AEW Fyter Fest, especially if you consider that this match did not really set the world on fire.
Cody Rhodes puts on great matches on a weekly basis with young talent on AEW Dynamite and that should be the focus after Fyter Fest 2020.
