What's the story?
As announced on "Being the Elite", we now have an exciting tag team match scheduled for AEW's Fight for the Fallen event!
In case you didn't know...
The last major event for AEW was Fyter Fest, which aired on June 29th. The event was met with mostly positive results from wrestling fans and critics alike. AEW was able to draw in 5,000 fans for the show, with around 4,200 tickets sold. In terms of the buy rate, Fyter Fest was able to draw in 350,000 total unique "buys" (despite the show airing for FREE on B/R Live), along with a total of 140,000 buys on FiteTV app. These numbers were received as generally very good for FiteTV's market and did exceptionally well on B/R Live.

The brutal chair shot from Shawn Spears and Cody was the main subject of conversation all over social media. Concerns poured out for Cody's well being as a he took an unprotected chair shot to the head by Spears. Cody received 12 stitches to the head and tested negative for a concussion. The concern for the future of Cody's health in terms of CTE effects (long term) and the thought process behind this segment was put into question for AEW's executive team. Tony Khan would comment about the incident claiming it was a "mistake".
