The Native Beast was able to defend her Women's Championship for the first time last night against Kris Statlander, in one of the hardest hitting matches of the night. Statlander was easily one of the biggest challenges Rose has faced in AEW, and she was within seconds of dethroning the Champion.
Despite this, it was an avalanche Beast Bomb that allowed her to pick up the victory and, now, Kris Statlander heads to the back of the queue, despite being AEW's hottest prospect. This leaves Nyla Rose without a challenger heading into AEW's next pay-per-view event, so who will step up to challenge The Native Beast?

Big Swole, Britt Baker and even Shanna are all waiting in the wings to challenge Rose, but AEW could be keeping the title on the Beast until Awesome Kong is finished with her Netflix commitments so that the two women can have a real 'battle of the beasts'.
Depending on how long Kong will be out of action, there are enough women waiting for an opportunity to shine.
