Just three weeks after getting injured, Rhea Ripley made her return to Monday Night RAW to assault Liv Morgan during the opening segment. The Eradicator's comeback set the stage for a WarGames Match at Survivor Series, which is expected to become official as soon as possible.
The WarGames Match will see Rhea Ripley team up with IYO SKY, Naomi, and the Women's Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Gargill to take on Raquel Rodriguez, Candice LeRae, Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton, the reigning Women's Champion Nia Jax and the Women's World Champion Liv Morgan.
Following Rhea Ripley's comeback, we take a look at four superstars that could be next in line for a return:
#4. Asuka is recovering from a knee injury
Fans drowned out a popular wrestler with 'She's a racist' chants recently
In June, Asuka revealed that she had knee surgery to treat an injury she sustained in March and worked through it for a couple of months. Given the status of the injury, she will need some time to come back.
WWE hasn't provided an update on her condition, but it could be safe to say that Saturday Night's Main Event (December 14) or the RAW premiere on Netflix (January 6) could be the ideal opportunities for her comeback.
#3. Alexa Bliss has been teasing a WWE return for months
It has been nearly two years since Alexa Bliss was part of the main roster in WWE. She last appeared at the Royal Rumble in January 2023, when she lost the chance to win the RAW Women's Championship from Bianca Belair.
She has been out since then due to maternity leave, and WWE has yet to bring her back, even though she has been teasing a comeback for months now.
It appears, though, that the creative team has no plans to bring her back before the holiday season. If this is the case, she could return at the RAW premiere on Netflix or the 2025 Royal Rumble on February 1.
#2. Charlotte Flair should return soon and become part of the title picture
Charlotte Flair has been out for nearly a year after sustaining a serious knee injury and was expected to fully recover after surgery in December 2023.
Fast forward to today, we should expect The Queen to return soon, even before the end of 2024, and become part of the title picture immediately.
It is unlikely she will pursue the Women's World Champion Liv Morgan, given the latter's rivalry with Rhea Ripley. Instead, she will move to SmackDown to challenge the reigning Women's Champion, Nia Jax.
This will open the way for a new storyline for Jax, as there are no new opponents to step up and challenge her unless Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton has a face turn and betrays her friend by cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase.
#1. Becky Lynch could return soon to re-ignite feud with Rhea Ripley
It has been nearly six months since Becky Lynch left WWE, as her contract expired. The two sides appear to be negotiating a new deal, but nothing is official yet.
Should she return, The Man is expected to target Liv Morgan for the title while re-igniting her feud with Rhea Ripley, which she teased in the weeks after WrestleMania 40, when the two megastars collided for the Women's World Championship.
