She also won the Slammy Award for Diva of the Year twice and was voted Woman of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated readers from 2012 to 2014. Mendez retired from in-ring performing in 2015 and wrote a memoir in 2017 titled "Crazy Is My Superpower," which became a New York Times Best Seller.
