AJ Styles is an American professional wrestler. Born in June 1977, Styles is known for his work in WWE, NJPW, and TNA. He hails from the town of Jacksonville in North Carolina and had a difficult childhood. While he was passionate about pro wrestling, he could not watch it much growing up due to the absence of cable television in his home. During high school, he took up amateur wrestling and became the state wrestling champion twice. Eventually, he entered the professional wrestling scene after his friend did the same.
Styles began training in 1998 and made his debut in the Indies at that time. While many fans are not aware of it, Styles even wrestled in the WCW before its closure in 2001. Thereafter, he made a huge name for himself in the indies and then in established promotions like TNA and NJPW, including founding the Bullet Club. Eventually, he came to WWE in 2016 and won numerous titles and accolades here as well.
AJ Styles' Finishing Move
AJ Styles uses the Styles Clash move as his finisher, according to the SmackDown Hotel. Besides this, he also uses the Calf Crusher to force his opponents to tap out. Moreover, he executes the Phenomenal Forearm as his signature move and sometimes as a finisher.
Styles Clash
Styles Clash is the most famous move in AJ Styles' arsenal. He has used the move to defeat some of the biggest names in the industry. Here, he lifts his opponents upside down in the position of a piledriver. According to Pro Wrestling Fandom, he then drops them face-first on the mat and rolls the opponent to cover for the pin. He has been using this modified Belly-to-Back Inverted Mat Slam since his debut in April 1998.
Phenomenal Forearm
AJ Styles' signature move is the Phenomenal Forearm, which is often enough to leave opponents stunned and dazed. Here, Styles waits for his opponent to get on their feet while he stands on the turnbuckle. He then jumps off the top rope and hits the opponent on the head with his forearm as a surprise attack, as per Pro Wrestling Fandom. Ever since joining WWE, Styles has used the move to great success.
Calf Crusher
The Calf Crusher is the submission move used by AJ Styles, where he targets the legs of the opponent. He applies pressure to the calf muscle while twisting the leg, causing immense pain and making it difficult for the opponent to move towards the rope.

Some of the moves he performs include the Backbreaker into Gutbuster, Backflip Kick (Pelé Kick), Springboard Moonsault into Inverted DDT (Phenomenon/Stylin' DDT), Springboard Shooting Star Press (Shooting Styles Press), etc.
