#7 A Decapitation

Gargano gets beheaded by Black

In what may have been the greatest Black Mass in the history of Aleister Black's career, he surprisingly stunned Johnny Gargano in the middle of a promo on the August 1st, 2018 episode of the weekly NXT show.

For context, Black had just lost the NXT Championship due to outside interference by Gargano that inadvertently helped despicable heel challenger Tomasso Ciampa win the title. When Ciampa came out to celebrate the following week, he was interrupted by Black, who made his signature slow entrance and was subsequently interrupted himself, as Gargano ran past him on the entrance stage and attacked Ciampa in the ring.

With Ciampa having left the ringside area by going through the crowd, Gargano got on the mic and insisted that Ciampa was only in NXT because of him and had only become champion because of him, as well.

Aleister Black obviously agreed, and consequently decapitated Gargano with a vicious Black Mass kick for costing him the title. Full Sail NXT attendees naturally followed up with a well-earned "you deserve it!" chant to Gargano.
