#5 A Street Fight
In the weeks before Takeover: Philadelphia (Royal Rumble 2018 weekend), NXT general manager William Regal scheduled four singles matches between the brand's top performers, with the winners of each match set to face off in a Fatal 4-Way for the chance at an NXT Title match in the City of Brotherly Love.
Unfortunately, Aleister Black, who had been undefeated since his debut at Takeover: Orlando, suffered his first lost as The Undisputed Era interfered in the match in order to help faction leader Adam Cole, leading to Black being pinned by Johnny Gargano.

An angry Black, disappointed at missing out on a championship opportunity, naturally responded by going after The Undisputed Era, insisting that that it was Cole who "brought me to this realm", leading to a special Street Fight at Takeover.
With all the intensity of a main event (despite being the second to last match), Black and Cole used forearms, kicks and weapons to viciously punish each other for 22 minutes. Cole superkicked Black onto twin tables and struck him with a kendo stick in the abdomen mid-moonsault. Both maneuvers were dangerously impressive, but Black's fireman's carry slam of Cole's spine directly onto two upright chairs and his double knee strike onto the Spanish announce table took the cake for the evening's most brutal moments.
