Alexa Bliss hasn't been seen in WWE since late January 2023 when she lost to Bianca Belair in a bout for the RAW Women's Championship. Since then, she has been out on maternity break and gave birth to her first child, but it appears her return could take place soon.

The former women's champion could make her return as early as the upcoming SummerSlam Premium Live Event, which is set to take place on August 3. Even though WWE has yet to provide any updates on her status, Alex Bliss has hinted at a return, thus fans could expect her to come back in the next few weeks.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Alexa Bliss continues to keep her fans updated about her preparation for an in-ring return, sharing clips from her training in the gym often.

Recently, Bliss took to Instagram and posted a story where she was actively training, hinting that she was possibly in the final stages of her return.

Alexa looked in great shape, thus a comeback to WWE should be a matter of time for the eight-time champion

Summerslam takes place in her hometown

Maybe this could be WWE's best opportunity yet to bring Alexa back after 18 months out. SummerSlam this year takes place in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, which would make it a perfect place for her in-ring return.

Back in mid-March, when the news broke out about the city that would host The Biggest Party of the Summer, Bliss took to X and shared her excitement about her hometown hosting the PLE.

With that in mind, fans can expect her to get a standing ovation from the WWE Universe should she make her return at SummerSlam.

She could be Bayley's next challenger for the Women's Championship

Should she come back to WWE soon, Alexa Bliss is expected to become part of the title picture. The problem is that if she goes to WWE RAW, she will not have a title shot soon, as the Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan feud has just heated up and will certainly extend for several weeks and a few premium live events at least.

Thus, it is more likely that she will target Bayley and the WWE Women's Championship. Bayley will take on Queen of the Ring Nia Jax at SummerSlam, but after that, there is not too many challenging her, unless the any one from the Bianca Belair-Jade Cargill team decides to go for singles title next.

Thus, Bliss could move to WWE SmackDown and cover that gap, emerging as the next challenger for the reigning WWE Women's Champion and getting a title shot as early as the WWE Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event, scehduled for August 31 in Berlin.
