It’s safe to say that Roman Reigns has been Cody Rhodes’ biggest rival ever since the latter returned to WWE. Rhodes finally ended Reigns' 1,316-day reign at WrestleMania XL to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
Now, the two stars will put their differences aside, as it was confirmed during the latest episode of SmackDown that Rhodes and Reigns will team up to take on The Bloodline duo of Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at WWE Bad Blood. Since the announcement, fans have been wondering if The American Nightmare and The Original Tribal Chief are friends in real life. The answer is: not really.
In an interview a few months ago, Rhodes mentioned that Reigns was "nowhere to be found" backstage by the time Rhodes returned after celebrating his monumental win at WrestleMania XL. This suggests the two stars are not particularly close in real life. However, they are top professionals, and there have been no indications of any real-life heat between them.

WWE Hall of Famer makes a major prediction about Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at Bad Blood
During SmackDown, Cody Rhodes was initially hesitant to team up with Roman Reigns for Bad Blood. However, by the end of the show, Rhodes signed the contract, making the match against The Bloodline official.
Despite this, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry doesn’t believe the partnership will succeed. During a recent appearance on the Busted Open Radio podcast, Henry predicted that both Rhodes and Reigns would try to take matters into their own hands during the tag team match.
He speculated that their egos might prevent them from tagging in the other, leading to miscommunication. Henry believes this misunderstanding will ultimately be the team’s downfall.
"I think it's good, I don't think they're going to work good together as a tag team because once one [of them] is in, he's going to try to finish it. You know like, Cody's going to try to finish it on his own. Roman's getting in, the last thing he's going to do is tag Cody in to help him. So that's gonna be the demise of their being in a tag team," Henry said. [From 17:48 to 18:15]
It will be interesting to see if Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes can co-exist and emerge victorious at Bad Blood.
