Because of this, Ripley was injured and forced to vacate her title as part of Morgan's revenge tour. At the 2024 Royal Rumble, Liv Morgan made her return to WWE after several months. After Ripley had emptied the title, it was at first won by Becky Lynch. Dominik Mysterio's interference assisted Liv Morgan with getting the Women's World Title at the King & Queen of the Ring 2024.

At SummerSlam 2024, Ripley was unsuccessful in recapturing the title from Morgan after interference from Dominik. This gave Ripley her first pinfall loss since May 2022, and she turned a face. Ripley was thrown out from The Judgement Day, and Morgan had her spot. At Bash in Berlin, Ripley and Priest beat Mysterio and Morgan, with Ripley pinning Morgan despite interference from Judgment Day. At Bad Blood, Ripley defeated Morgan by disqualification but failed to regain the title. After months of chasing Morgan and looking to settle the score, Ripley finally beat her to win the Women's World Heavyweight Championship at the Raw premiere on Netflix on January 6, 2025.
