Over the years, in the public and private sector, like WWE, there has been a discussion about women getting paid equal to men for equal work. Fortunately, important steps have reportedly been taken in this direction.
A recent report suggests that the Stamford-based company is also moving in that direction, meaning that equal payment for female and male superstars is included in the new deals it recently signed with WWE.
"There has been ‘whispers and comments’ that women are now getting paid at the level of men with these new deals in WWE," via WrestleOps X and PWInsider.
No exact information exists on how much money men and women wrestlers earn under their new deals, and there is no confirmation of equal pay.

Former WWE Women's World Champion Becky Lynch calls equal pay for equal work 'hugely important'
Former Women's World Champion Becky Lynch left WWE in June when her contract with the company expired.
In an interview with The Orlando Sentinel, she shared her thoughts on female and male wrestlers being paid the same for equal work, calling it "hugely important."
"I think that’s an important part, getting paid equally for the equal work and the equal position we are at right now. Women’s evolutions and revolutions are fine and well, but making sure that they equate to contracts and financial reward for these things when we are doing equal work, is hugely important," Becky Lynch said. As for The Man, there is no update on when or if she will make her return to the company and whether the two sides have been in talks for a new deal.
