Asuka (birth name: Kanako Urai) is a Japanese professional wrestler signed to the Raw brand as a member of Damage CTRL, as of Jan 2025. Before WWE, she wrestled under the name Kana and competed in various Japanese promotions, winning titles like the JWP Openweight Championship, Wave Tag Team Championship, and Smash Diva Championship. In 2015, Asuka became the first Japanese female wrestler signed by WWE in over 20 years.
In the developmental brand of WWE (NXT), Asuka held the NXT Women's Championship for a record 510 days and won the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble (2018) after her promotion to the main roster in 2017. Asuka is a former SmackDown Women’s Champion, a four-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and a three-time WWE Women’s Champion. She is also the only woman in WWE history to win the Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, and Elimination Chamber matches.
