Not too many WWE Superstars get to defeat Brock Lesnar clean at WrestleMania, empty arena or not, and it is clear that WWE is very high on Drew McIntyre as the reigning and defending champion of the world. And they want to showcase Drew McIntyre as a big-time top-tier Superstar whose reign is long and lengthy, to showcase him as the new face of WWE.
What a way to start the match! Or, I guess, gain an advantage before the match starts.Totally took me by surprise. I loved this and I love this new Bobby Lashley!#WWEBacklashpic.twitter.com/OHskXPoIIR
If you saw the main event match at WWE Backlash, you would have seen how Edge and Randy Orton managed to kick out of every major finisher ever- from the Pedigree to the Rock Bottom, from the spear to the RKO as well, but Claymore kicks, more often than not, put the opponent down. It is a clear indication that Drew McIntyre is a big deal in WWE.
WWE is going all the way with Drew McIntyre and honestly, speaking only for myself, I would be very surprised indeed if the man were to lose his Championship in the year 2020 considering just how much steam he has.
