#2 The possibility of a match between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship after Backlash

Not very long ago, I had a chance to interview WWE Champion Drew McIntyre as part of a promotional conference call ahead of WWE Backlash. During the course of the call, he mentioned why he wanted to wrestle Randy Orton for his Championship describing him as his 'Joker'.

There's a reason I want to work with him for the world title because I want to learn. Because there aren't too many guys around anymore that have learned from the best. Been around for a long time and can really pull you up. So, anybody that works with him will absolutely benefit.

Now, we all saw how Randy Orton absolutely obliterated Edge in the Backlash 2020 main event and WWE is clearly heading to a point where he can challenge either for the WWE Championship or the US Championship.

It does make sense to book Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship and have it stretch all the way to SummerSlam because clearly, the Champion wants it.
