Will the match deliver at Backlash?

Edge vs Randy Orton was one of the marquee matches of WrestleMania 36. As you know by now, Edge had his dream return to the ring at Royal Rumble 2020, where he lasted up until the final three before being eliminated by Roman Reigns.

The next night, his old tag team partner Randy Orton welcomed him back, but a nostalgic reunion turned into a vicious beating on The Rated-R Superstar. It would lead to a lengthy Falls Count Anywhere encounter at WrestleMania 36, where Edge was triumphant in his first singles match in 9 years.

Now, he's all set to have his first gimmick-less wrestling in 9 years as he takes on Randy Orton in the main event at Backlash. We understand why there's a lot of criticism about the tag line of this match, but we still expect them to deliver.

It'll be a bit surprising if Randy Orton wins, but it's highly possible that we see him beat Edge at Backlash to get to a trilogy - potentially around SummerSlam time.
