While the WWE is agog with the news that the feared foursome from New Japanese Pro Wrestling, A J Styles, Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows and Shinsuke Nakamura are set to make a splash in the WWE, the ETA for the current IWGP Intercontinental champion has been the most conservative.
Owing to the long honoured tradition among the Japanese, wherein the champion slated to go out must cleanly drop the title to the next holder in a long series of matches, the internet reported that Nakamura would be the last to leave the Japanese promotion among the reported names.
However, Tokyo Sports is now reporting that Nakamura will be done with the promotion by the end of this month. This may come as a surprise to many considering that he, along with the others handed in his notice only on the morning of January 4.
While a confirmation from the WWE is yet awaited, it is safe to assume that the 4 big names are indeed headed to the worlds’ biggest wrestling promotion.
Former Bullet Club member and current NXT champion Finn Balor sent out the following post, on hearing that his former mates maybe on their way to the WWE.
