Backstage rumors on the Survivor Series tournament participants, WWE getting huge stars back?

Who's next in line to claim this prestigious piece of gold?

It was noted earlier, that WWE’s Survivor Series plans changed overnight after Rollins suffered a torn ACL and MCL that would keep him on the sidelines for 6-9 months.

He was forced to relinquish his title that marked the end of his long reign. WWE announced a tournament to determine the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Survivor Series, that at the moment sounds like the most viable option.

As soon as the announcement was made, reports started coming in about the possible names that would be a part of the said tournament. According to reports from Inquistr, the preliminary matches, that might feature around 10 to 15 stars, would most likely take place in the coming weeks prior to Survivor Series. The semi-finals and finals would be reserved for the pay-per-view, which seems like the logical way to go.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

When it comes to the stars who are being speculated to be in the tournament, the rumor mills are running rampant with some notable names that include Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, Kevin Owens, Alberto Del Rio, Ryback, Cesaro, Bray Wyatt and Big E.

It is still not sure whether the current no.1 contender Roman Reigns would be involved in the tournament, but as of the moment he too is rumored to be part of the tournament. The injured Rusev and Randy Orton’s names are also flying around, that is if they are cleared by the doctors to compete.

The most interesting name though is that of Daniel Bryan, who according to Joe Burgett from Inquistr, has been rumored to have been called for an in-ring comeback after Rollins’s unfortunate injury.

According to Cagesideseats, WWE reportedly made some frantic calls to stars such as Daniel Bryan, Rob Van Dam, and Chris Jericho to name a few, to help out in the moment of crisis.

You can never count out a possible Brock Lesar appearance, that is if he agrees to compete and if WWE offers him the right amount of money. In the current scenario, though, Daniel Bryan’s return is something that makes sense considering he too was a victim of the same fate that Rollins went through.

All of these are just speculations at the moment and whether or not WWE decides to get Bryan, Lesnar or even Cena in this case, is to be seen. Stay tuned for further updates.
