As noted, Chris Jericho made an unannounced appearance at the Saturday night WWE Live Event held in Montgomery, Alabama. The fans were surprised to see their favourite Superstar back in action. He went on to defeat Luke Harper in a singles match and celebrated with the fans at the ringside. Later, he posted a video on Tweet Secret, where he films himself signing a new WWE contract.
This new contract will see him work sixteen (16) Live Events through March 1st of this year. He notes in the video that he will not be appearing at TV or PPV events, which rules out his much-expected appearance in Royal Rumble. Jericho mentions that he will be back with Fozzy for a European tour starting on March 4. He posted,
Earlier this month he spoke with SLAM! Wrestling about his appearances in Live Events and called himself as anti-Brock Lesnar,
“[To do only live events] was my choice, I had some time off [between Fozzy tours], and I thought it would be fun to go back [on that schedule]. It's like I'm the anti-Brock Lesnar."
