#3 WWE NXT booked Finn Balor to team up with Kyle O'Reilly
On this week's WWE NXT, things heated up between NXT Champion Finn Balor and Pete Dunne.
To even the odds against him, the champ declared that he would take out Dunne's running buddies, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. However, in order do so, WWE NXT General Manager William Regal stated that Balor must find a tag team partner.
Balor would confront his former challenger and the man who legitimately broke his jaw, Kyle O'Reilly, who agreed to team up with the "Prince" and take on the NXT Tag Team Champions.
Similar to last week's bizarre conclusion when Balor came to rescue O'Reilly from an attack at the hands of Dunne and his crew, this team makes little sense.
The match will no doubt be fantastic as all four competitors are at the top form, but the decision to have Balor and O'Reilly as partners is a confusing one, to say the least.
The partnership has "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" dynamic, but these two fighters beat each other senseless not too long ago. A feeling of respect may have grown between the two, but the relationship based on breaking one another's jawbones adds an illogical element to the angle.
