WWE can be quite picky when selecting superstars who can pin Roman Reigns. So, it's a surprise that multiple stars with such an accolade on their resumes are no longer in the Stamford-based promotion.
Ever since The Head of the Table became a solo star following the heartbreaking breakup of The Shield, he has stayed at the top of the card. So, it makes sense why WWE has been adamant about making him look strong. As a result, the list of wrestlers who have pinned Roman Reigns isn't too lengthy.
But just because a star has triumphed over The Big Dog doesn't mean that he's a WWE lifer. In fact, several of them are no longer on the roster. Here are five such examples.
#5 The Big Show (Paul Wight)
The Big Show being among the superstars to have bested Roman Reigns shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. After all, he held wins over Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker before wrestling The Big Dog.

The showdown in question took place on the February 2, 2015, edition of WWE RAW. Roman Reigns had recently won the Royal Rumble match, but his rivalry against The Authority was showing no signs of ending. That resulted in a match with The World's Largest Athlete, which the gigantic star won after his Authority stablemate Seth Rollins provided much-needed assistance.
Today, The Big Show (Paul Wight) is part of the AEW roster. While he does put on his wrestling boots now and then, he mainly does media appearances to promote forthcoming AEW shows.
#4 Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho's WWE legacy is one that aspiring wrestlers will struggle to replicate. After all, over the last 20 years, which other star has been able to claim that they defeated two of WWE's biggest stars in one night?
But The Rock and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin aren't the only megastars The King of the World has pinned. He also holds a pinfall victory over The Tribal Chief. This happened on the January 9, 2017, episode of RAW, where Jericho (with Kevin Owens by his side) pinned Roman Reigns in a handicap match to win the United States Championship.
Since 2019, The Learning Tree has been a vital part of AEW. He had the privilege of being the company's first world champion. While his work has started to receive criticism lately, he remains one of the most featured stars on the Wednesday night program.
#3 Cash Wheeler (fka Dash Wilder)
The list of WWE Superstars who were able to defeat Roman Reigns is predominantly populated with multi-time world champions. Hence Cash Wheeler's (fka Dash Wilder) name could raise eyebrows. However, Wheeler does hold a pinfall victory over The Head of the Table.
This unexpected moment came at the end of a tag team match in June 2018, pitting Wheeler and his tag team partner, Dax Harwood (fka Scott Dawson) against Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley. Thanks to the escalating frustrations between Reigns and Lashley, Wheeler was able to roll up the OTC and steal the win.
After exiting WWE in early 2020, Wheeler and Harwood joined AEW. In the last four-and-a-half years, they've committed themselves to restoring the prestige of tag team competition in the North American wrestling scene. Their iconic matches against Bullet Club Gold and The Young Bucks prove how effective they've been in their mission.
#2 Two-time WWE Champion Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley's second WWE run saw him battling all-time greats from the current generation. Roman Reigns happened to be one of his first rivals following his comeback in 2018.
Things started to heat up between The Big Dog and The Dominator in the summer of 2018 when it was time to decide who would square off against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.
With their rivalry intensifying at a lightning-fast speed and there being no signs of a Brock Lesnar return, WWE booked a match between the Spear connoisseurs at Extreme Rules 2018 without any title implications. The Destroyer decisively won the bout.
While Lashley slipped down the card following his match against Roman Reigns, he started picking up momentum by mid-2020, resulting in two WWE Championship runs over the following year and a half. He parted ways with the company in August 2024 and joined AEW to reunite with MVP and Shelton Benjamin.
#1 Baron Corbin, the last wrestler to pin Roman Reigns before his career-defining heel run
Baron Corbin's WWE run wasn't packed with memorable title runs, but that didn't stop him from defeating the best stars in the company, including Roman Reigns.
The feud between Roman Reigns and the Lone-Wolf-turned-Constable-turned-King of the Ring at the end of 2019 wasn't exactly one that fans hold in high regard. But it did have its memorable moments, especially the one where Corbin beat Reigns at TLC 2019. With that, The Mayor of Jackpot City became the last person to pin The Big Dog until the summer of 2023.
Despite the big win, Corbin couldn't help but keep struggling in the midcard. Eventually, he was let go from WWE in November 2024, and it remains to be seen where he surfaces next.
