American professional wrestler and former football player Thomas Pestock was born on September 13, 1984. Presently, he is employed by WWE, where he competes as Baron Corbin on the NXT roster.
In addition to competing in the 2008 Golden Gloves tournament, Pestock was an offensive tackle for the National Football League's (NFL) Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals. Under the ring moniker Baron Corbin, he signed with WWE in 2012 and was placed in their developmental brand NXT, where he played a villainous figure known as the "Lone Wolf."
After winning the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, he made his main roster debut at WrestleMania 32. He went on to win the WWE United States Championship once and the 2017 Money in the Bank men's ladder match.
After he was named Constable of Raw in 2018, he began a feud with Kurt Angle that ended at WrestleMania 35 when Corbin defeated Angle in his retirement match. He changed his name to King Corbin after winning the 2019 King of the Rings event a few months later. He used this new moniker until 2021, when he lost his crown and went bankrupt.
After two months, he changed his identity to Happy Corbin and started playing a carefree character who had amassed enormous money. Thereafter, he formed a short-lived alliance with Madcap Moss. He reverted back to using the Baron Corbin moniker in 2022 and was under JBL's management until 2023, at which point he joined NXT again.
What are Baron Corbin’s finishers?
Baron Corbin’s finisher is End of Days, as of 2023. Over the years, Corbin's finisher, "End of Days," has generated debate due to its flawless protection; he has been using it since October 2012. It had proved to be an unbreakable barrier against strong foes, taking down the likes of Roman Reigns, Kurt Angle, John Cena, and Seth Rollins.
End of Days is a professional wrestling move called a Modified Lifting Reverse STO, in which the wrestler lifts their opponent onto their shoulders before dropping them back-first onto the mat.
The pivotal moment, though, came at WrestleMania when Corbin learned that Drew McIntyre would be the first to use the maneuver. Corbin was disappointed by the news and expressed his disapproval of the decision. But he also acknowledged and understood that but it wasn't his decision to make.
In an interview with Sean Ross Sapp, Corbin stated, "I've fought for a long time (to protect it)." "I’ve always been a guy who has done everything they’ve asked… I’ve always been in the world championship stuff with Roman, with Seth, multiple times fighting for the title but have never gotten it.”
Corbin also discussed how he has changed since joining the WWE, highlighting his dedication to taking on difficult roles and making them relatable to the public. Even though he hasn't yet won a world championship, his versatility and commitment to the sport have made him a pillar of the organization.
