The Heart Of The Matter

Rutten and Ranallo previously worked together on Pride FC’s broadcast team and also operate the ‘Rutten & Ranallo’ weekly podcast. Bas weighed in on his close-friend’s current health status in a chat with Luke Thomas-

“He’s doing okay. As everybody knows – he’s very vocal about it – Mauro is bipolar. Sometimes, a couple of times a year, things are going too fast and he simply just needs to slow down. I think he will be back very soon.” (Rutten speaking about Mauro’s return; * Credits- The Luke Thomas Show)

Bipolar disorder is a serious illness affecting millions of people the world over, with about 5.7 million adult Americans suffering from the disease. It’s a mental disorder that sees the patient go through manic as well as depressive phases, including loss of touch with reality, low energy, low motivation and a lack of desire to indulge in routine activities to name a few.

In these tough times, the voice of SmackDown needs our support and good wishes. Here’s hoping Mauro Ranallo makes a safe and speedy recovery.
