Tonight's WWE SmackDown will emanate from Madison Square Garden in New York. Several superstars such as Jade Cargill, Logan Paul, Naomi, LA Knight, and more have been advertised for the episode. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and WWE Women's Champion Bayley can also be expected to be present for tonight's show.
Speaking of Bayley, she put out a tweet that had the WWE Universe wondering about whether the Women's Champion was teasing a reunion during the show. In the tweet, she tagged Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks), asking her if she was in New York.
To that, the former WWE Superstar responded by saying, "Wanna hangout?"
The social media exchange between the former Women's Tag Team Champions had the WWE Universe speculating about Mercedes Mone being present at Madison Square Garden tonight during WWE SmackDown and possibly reuniting with Bayley. Unfortunately, that scenario is highly improbable.
The former WWE Superstar can be present at Madison Square Garden as a part of the audience, but nothing more. Currently, she is working with AEW and is the reigning TBS Champion, and while collaborations have become much more common these days, WWE and AEW talents haven't shown up on each other's programs yet.
Furthermore, WWE has just opened the door to working with another promotion, TNA. The Stamford-based promotion will not put a damp on that by inviting an AEW talent to the squared circle.
Three Money in the Bank qualifier matches have been announced for WWE SmackDown
So far, Jey Uso, Andrade, Chad Gable, and Carmelo Hayes have qualified for the Money in the Bank men's ladder match. On tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown, Logan Paul, LA Knight, and Santos Escobar will battle in a triple threat match to qualify for the men's ladder match.
Coming to the women's ladder match, IYO Sky, Chelsea Green, and Lyra Valkyria have qualified for the match. WWE SmackDown will feature two more qualifier matches for the women's division.
One match is Jade Cargill vs. Candice LeRae vs. Tiffany Stratton. The second match is Naomi vs. Blair Davenport vs. Indi Hartwell.
