Liv Morgan defeating Becky Lynch is a symbolic representation of good triumphing over evil. Such a headline may be appropriate for a show of this magnitude, especially after a covid outbreak in the roster resulted in a depleted Monday Night RAW.
Moreover, it may be too soon to dethrone Big E or Roman Reigns, so the show needs some kind of news emerging from it. Morgan becoming the new RAW Women's Champion may be what the doctor ordered.

Sometimes a long and winding road may be just what is needed to get over. Even if Liv Morgan comes up short twice, she should win the Royal Rumble to eventually realize her destiny.
For Morgan to defeat The Man at WrestleMania would mean a lot more than WWE Day 1. It would be the culmination of a story that is told over months as opposed to 'weeks'.
