By no means am I calling this a bad match at all. I just thought that for all the hype that surrounded this match, the eventual outcome was a little disappointing, in my opinion, at least.
Somehow, I felt that Cody Rhodes vs. Wardlow inside the steel cage was a significantly better match than this one was. Even though the match was a lot more traditional than the modern matches that preceded it, we've seen in the past that Cody Rhodes is able to tell great stories in the ring, every time he steps in.

This just wasn't his night and I am glad that MJF came out as the winner because it allows for the rivalry to continue and reach an even better conclusion. And one also has to wonder whether Arn Anderson will turn on Cody Rhodes after he accidentally hit his mentor.
The following weeks should be very interesting. Congratulations All Elite Wrestling for putting on a fine, if a much longer than one would like, show.
